We offer one-on-one and relationship counselling in person, online or over the phone.

Additional services include: workplace presentations, consultations for professionals in the mental health field and group work upon request.

You and your desire for connection and balance is worthwhile.

Being human can be really hard. In therapy, we can co-create an atmosphere that is receptive, safe for you to share, facilitates growth and helps you make sense of what currently doesn’t.

Areas of exploration can include (but are not limited to): tools for emotional regulation, stabilization and recovery. How unmet expectations you have of yourself, of others, or from others may be impacting you. How to effectively work with guilt, grief and shame. How to acknowledge the voice of your inner critic. How to manage work related stress and how to maintain healthy relationships through connection to self and community care.

Investing your time, energy and money into your health and wellness is a big decision. My hope is that you will experience good rapport with your therapist, tailored interventions that fit and a clear plan to achieve your goals. You and your desire for connection and balance is worthwhile.

I have been practicing as a Registered Social Worker since 2015 and have over a decade of professional experience assisting individuals navigate challenge. I am committed to infusing evidenced- based practice with the strengths I bring to the table.

Now accepting clients in her own private practice while continuing to share space and collaborate with WTC!

Hello, my name is Sobiyah Saeed. I am a psychotherapist and professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I provide individual counselling services to adults 18+. My practice focuses on anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, emotional regulation, stress, cultural issues, women’s issues, and life changes/transitions.

I believe there is a certain comfort in knowing that beauty and light can be found in the darkest moments. Even in darkness, positivity can grow. My goal is to help guide my clients through the ups and downs of life, helping them adjust their eyes to the lightness or darkness they may find themselves in.

Finding the appropriate modality of therapy for my clients is extremely important. Some modalities of interest to me are Cognitive-Behavioural Theory, Mindfulness-Based therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Art Therapy, and Culturally Sensitive Therapy. I ensure I tailor these modalities to my clients’ specific culture, religion, background, and/or life experience.

If you would like to book an appointment with me or have any questions to see if we would be a good therapeutic fit, feel free to reach out. Looking forward to connecting with you!

Shadé Hamilton(she/her), Counselling Psychology Masters Candidate from Yorkville University

Hello! My name is Shadé Hamilton, and I am an immigrant from Jamaica, currently living and practicing on Treaty 1 Territory. My experiences as an immigrant have deeply influenced my passion for providing support and understanding to others.

I’m in the final stages of completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, and I’m excited to be finishing my practicum as part of this program with Lana Hastings as my supervisor at Wellness Through Connection.

My path to becoming a therapist has been deeply influenced by the importance of support and understanding in personal growth. I believe in the power of empathy and collaboration, which is why I gravitate toward a client-centered approach to therapy. I am flexible in my use of various therapeutic modalities, adapting to what works best for each individual. This flexibility allows me to meet my clients where they are, ensuring a personalized and effective experience.

I work with clients dealing with a variety of concerns, from life transitions and self-esteem to stress, anxiety, depression and emotional regulation. No matter the issue, I approach every session with respect for your unique experiences and a commitment to creating a safe space for growth and healing.

Outside of my work, I enjoy exploring new foods, connecting with my family and friends, and staying active. I also love to travel and try new things, always eager to learn and grow in both my personal and professional life. I’m thrilled to be a part of this process, helping you on your journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth.

Hi there! I’m Jessica. I am a current Practicum Student under the supervision of Lana Hastings completing my Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. At Wellness Through Connection, we work from a strength-based, person-centered, and narrative approach to find what works for you and get you where you would like to go. We offer low-cost and accessible therapy options so you can move forward into your next stage of life. I was once there too, and my personal experience with anxiety, depression, and ADHD allows me to understand and support your journey on a deeper level.

Ultimately, you are the expert in your own life, and my goal is to help you grasp what you can control and release the things you cannot. My background in science, high-level athletics, addictions, and human development supports building routines, long-term goals, overall happiness and wellbeing. Outside of counseling, you can find me reading, spending time with my dog, or pursuing a new artistic hobby such as embroidery, pottery, or other do-it- yourself projects.

I look forward to connecting so we can take the first step towards a happier and healthier future together! Book online today with virtual, phone and in person options available. Sessions start at $70 per session, with sliding scale options to go lower if needed, available upon request.
